My name is Emily and I am a Rotary exchange student from Australia. I am in Germany for 12 months on exchange and
I am living in Neuss a town in West Germany. I am 16 years old and I'm turning 17 in June.
I live in a small town in Victoria. I have two sisters Naomi and Amanda who are 13 and 11 years old. My mother
is a teacher at a university and teaches nursing. She is the best mum in the world because she is everything you
could
ever want in a mum.
My father is a farmer on the farm we live on. We breed merino sheep for fine wool and crops of several sorts. My
dad is my hero because he has shown that even being disabled you can do nearly everything that anyone else can
do.
I have a large family. My father has 3 sisters and 1 brother. My mother has 3 brothers and one sister. I have 12
cousins all together and one on the way.
My family is the best family because they are always there for me whatever or wherever I am. They always give there
love and knowledge in all the things I do.
Our farm is about 1500 acres and we have about 2000 sheep. We have crops of oats and wheat and it depends on my
father what we grow. I go to a P-12 college which is a prep to year 12 school. It is small but very good. I have
a small year with only seven students in it, 3 boys and 4 girls.
Our school has the best teachers I think. Especially Jeffo who is the best teacher I think because he has an interest
in his students and wants the best for his students so he tries really hard so we have the best education.
My favourite colour is orange. I love nearly everything that is orange. My favourite food is spaghetti bolognaise
which is just divine. My favourite pastimes are swimming. I love to swim, play netball, going out with my friends
and listening to music.
I love to watch Australian rules football which is the best game, and Geelong
is of course the best team. Go the cats!!!!!.
I have a large group of friends of girls and boys. My best friends are Amanda, who is just adorable in everyway,
my baby Brent - my best friend in the whole world, Julie who is lovely to and loves everybody, Michael who always
makes you have a good time and laugh, Chloe who is always there and listens, the twins Melissa and Tanya, it's
always good to have a set of them and Bonnie who is a fair distance away but always there for you when you need
her. I have many other great friends but I can't mention them all but they all know I love them.
When I finish school in Australia I would like to become either a functions coordinator or a teacher but I may
change my mind so we will wait and see.
My whole life I have wanted to go to Europe and I am here. I am definitely going to make the most of it.
